Sue is an ordained and professed member of the community who found these wonderful folks quite by accident while doing a late night Google search for Lindisfarne Island, all the way back in 2009. She is at home in the margins, and this has played out quite organically in her life. Many years were spent in community with the developmentally disabled with L'Arche Edinburgh and Cleveland, along with other organizations and most recently doing a bit of volunteer work teaching yoga via zoom with L'Arche Atlanta.
Life can take unexpected directions, and Sue found herself unexpectedly in the massage therapy field, with geriatric and oncology massage being favorite ways of serving. Now retired, Sue now teaches yoga, choosing to work with those who are differently abled. She is also an aspiring End of Life Doula, and is almost finished with her EOL training.
Sue, along with husband Ken and a beloved rescued cocker spaniel named Domino, has recently moved the Ninth Wave Hermitage to Atlanta GA to be closer to her parents and a younger sister. Although retired from Aikido, she happily practices Shinkendo, a Japanese sword art.
